By investing in the training and scientific capacity of individuals and institutions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), not only is a research culture fostered and local ownership of research solidified, but it also enhances the development of locally-appropriate solutions, thus increasing the likelihood of sustained impact. While recognising that efforts to bolster research capacity in LMICs must expand both at the individual and systems level, at C/Can we aim to foster the development of implementation science skills within our city local stakeholders to leverage their understanding of unique cultural and contextual factors in advancing cancer care health systems strengthening.
Thus, C/Can is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity in collaboration with the University of Melbourne.
