2025 CReDO Workshop

Express your interest

C/Can will support up to 8 cancer care professionals to attend the International Collaboration for Research Methods Development in Oncology (CReDO) Workshop, taking place from March 2-7, 2025, in Mumbai, India. This workshop aims to train oncology researchers in clinical trial design and help them develop a structured research protocol from an initial idea.

Eligibility criteria

Selected participants will share their learnings and experiences from the workshop to enhance project planning and execution in their respective C/Can cities.

  1. The applicant must be a member of the project team from C/Can city projects.
  2. The applicant must be a cancer care professional trained in any oncology branch (surgical, medical, or radiation) or allied specialties (pathology, medical imaging, nursing, palliative, and supportive care).
  3. The applicant is ready with a research concept (idea) which can be developed into a full-fledged research project and is reasonably conversant with written and spoken English and has good computer skills.
  4. The research project proposal must address gaps identified in the city needs assessment and align with C/Can’s Research Initiative principles and must be operational/implementation research. The proposal with clinical trials will not be considered.

All proposals will be evaluated based on scientific integrity, potential global impact, and alignment with C/Can city projects.

Application deadline is  26 August 2024.

Applicants must submit a full research project proposal endorsed by their supervisor. Candidates will be notified of their application status by end of August 2024.

  2. Complete the form
  3. Submit the completed form to capacity.development@citycancerchallenge.org by 26 August 2024.

Successful candidates will receive financial assistance covering:

  • Visa application fee (if applicable)
  • Round-trip economy flight
  • Accommodation and living expenses during the workshop

Upon returning, beneficiaries are expected to share their learnings with peers in their city.
