Thet Ko Aung is the Senior Manager of Technical Cooperation at City Cancer Challenge (C/Can). He plays a pivotal role in integrating a technical cooperation programme into project implementation, coordinating networks of experts and technical partners, and developing knowledge products to enhance capacity-building and the translation of experience into action.
With over 15 years of experience in health program management, he has expertise in programme implementation, budget oversight, and strategic coordination with governments, donors, partners, experts, and beneficiaries. Before joining C/Can in 2019, he led the HIV treatment programme in Myanmar, collaborating with the public sector, international organisations and development agencies.
Thet Ko is a medical doctor with a background in global health. He holds an MBBS degree from the University of Medicine, Myanmar and an MPH degree from Mahidol University, Thailand.
