Rolando Camacho is a global cancer control expert and oncologist with key experience in City Cancer Challenge (C/Can). He has over 25 years of clinical experience and a leading role in cancer control since 1986. A long-time collaborator with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), he contributed to WHO National Cancer Control Programmes Guidelines and was active in Latin America’s cancer initiatives. In 2006, he joined the IAEA’s Radiobiology and Radiotherapy Section, then PACT as Cancer Control Coordinator in 2009, later leading the programme. Since retiring in 2014, he continues to consult for WHO and IAEA. In City Cancer Challenge he has been the technical leader since the creation of the initiative and technical coordinator for all cities process and for the roster of external experts .
