Matt Peckarsky is the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) at City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), where he leads the organization’s evidence strategy across its network of cities.
Matt has spent over 15 years leading monitoring, evaluation, and operations research across more than 20 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia, including a decade living and working in Central and South America. His technical focus has spanned community health worker programming, digital health, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, active case finding for both infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases, Matt is a mixed-methods researcher, with expertise in cost-effectiveness analysis, geospatial analysis, as well as realist and qualitative approaches. He has built MEL systems, led impact evaluations, and directed cost-effectiveness analyses for major international donors including USAID, the Gates Foundation, and the Global Fund.
Matt is also pursuing a PhD in Global Public Health Sciences at George Washington University. He holds an MSc in Global Health and Population from the Harvard School of Public Health.
