Cancer is a growing concern in Côte d’Ivoire, with over 21,000 new cases and 14,000 deaths in 2022. In Abidjan alone, 2,884 new cases were recorded. By joining C/Can, the city is taking action to improve access to quality cancer care through local and global collaboration.

Needs and challenges

A multidisciplinary technical committee of local experts and institutions will undertake an analysis of the state of cancer care in the city and identifying essential priorities.
