Elia Lara Lona is the City Manager in León for the City Cancer Challenge Foundation (C/Can). She is a professor at the University of Guanajuato and leads initiatives to strengthen cancer care in the city. Since León joined the City Cancer Challenge in 2019, she has worked with the public and private sectors to improve access to early diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Its goal is to position León as a benchmark city for quality cancer care for the region.
